  • Campaign Creator: A user who creates and manages a fundraising campaign.
  • Donor: A user who contributes funds to campaigns.

2. User Eligibility

To use the Platform:

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must provide accurate and up-to-date information when registering or using the Site.
  • Use of our Platform is prohibited in countries or regions under restrictions.

3. Creating Campaigns

Campaign Creators agree to:

  • Provide accurate details, including campaign goals, descriptions, and updates.
  • Use funds solely for the stated purpose of the campaign.
  • Respond promptly to donor inquiries and fulfill commitments (if applicable).

We reserve the right to review, edit, or remove campaigns that violate these Terms or applicable laws.

4. Donations and Payments

  • Donations are voluntary and non-refundable, except in cases of proven fraud or misuse.
  • Payment processing is managed by third-party providers (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). You agree to their terms of service.
  • Transaction fees may apply to each donation.

5. Fees and Charges

  • Peaceplanet charges a transaction fee of 4% + payment processing fees € 0.50.
  • Fees are automatically deducted before funds are transferred to the Campaign Creator.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Misrepresent campaign information or solicit funds for illegal purposes.
  • Harass, threaten, or harm other users.
  • Use the Platform for fraudulent activities.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Refunds and Disputes

  • Donations are final. However, if misuse of funds is suspected, we may investigate and take appropriate action.
  • Disputes must be reported to info@peaceplanet.org within 14 days of the donation.

8. Intellectual Property

  • Campaign Creators retain ownership of content (images, text) they upload.
  • By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and promote the campaign.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • We provide the Platform “as is” without guarantees.
  • We are not liable for campaign misuse, failed transactions, or disputes between users.

10. Privacy Policy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with the “Effective Date” updated. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be resolved in courts located in Alkmaar, the Netherlands.
